Distal Radius Fracture Fixation

Home / Services / Wrist & Hand Surgery / Distal Radius Fracture Fixation

We offer arthroscopically assisted fixation for distal radius fractures.

Internal fixation is required if a distal radius fracture is displaced and position cannot be maintained by closed means, such as plaster or splinting.

Arthroscopic-assisted fixation allows inspection of the joint surface to assess reduction. It also allows diagnosis and treatment of associated injuries to the wrist joint, such as ligament or TFC Tears.

We use many systems, including the IXOS plating system from KLS Martin.
