If non-operative treatment has failed, we offer surgery to treat De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis.

The operation involves a tiny incision over the radial styloid where the APL and EPB tendons to the thumb are released from the 1st dorsal compartment of the wrist.

We have also developed an ultrasound-guided technique that allows the surgery via a 1-2 mm incision and an Acufex hook knife.
