For Health Professionals

Maguire Upper Limb
Maguire Upper Limb, based at the Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre (MISC), provides advanced care for hand and upper limb conditions, focusing on minimally invasive surgical techniques and evidence-based non-operative management.
The clinic focuses on ultrasound-guided and endoscopic procedures for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Cubital Tunnel Syndrome, and other peripheral nerve compression syndromes. The team has been at the forefront of ‘Ultra-Minimally Invasive Surgery’ and WALANT (Wide Awake Local Anaesthesia No Tourniquet) approaches in Queensland, reducing the need for general anaesthesia and hospital admission in appropriate cases.
With additional expertise in sports injuries affecting both the upper and lower limbs, the clinic offers comprehensive musculoskeletal care for active patients, weekend warriors, and elite athletes.
Ongoing professional development and international collaboration remain core values of the practice. Our protocols reflect current global best practice and aim to deliver fast recovery, reduced downtime, and high patient satisfaction.
Referrals are welcome from GPs, physiotherapists, and other specialists. We are always available to discuss cases or provide second opinions where required.
Our Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal practitioner, Dr Pearce, does not require a referral to see him.
