Distal Radius Fracture Fixation

Home / Services / Wrist & Hand Surgery / Distal Radius Fracture Fixation

Dr Maguire offers arthroscopic assisted fixation for distal radius fractures.

If a distal radius fracture is displaced and position cannot be maintained by closed means such a plaster or splinting then internal fixation is required.

Arhtroscopic assisted fixation allows inspection of the joint surface to assess reduction and also allows diagnosis and treatment of associated injuries to the wrist joint such as ligament or TFC Tears.

Dr Maguire uses the IXOS plating system from KLS Martin.
